This official U.S. Department of State digital brochure is designed to educate those interested in an internship supporting U.S. diplomacy and provides an overview of the global opportunities offered every spring, summer and fall. The U.S. Department of State offers unpaid internships to U.S. citizens who are Undergraduate (junior or seniors) or Graduate Students. The brochure features a chart that can be used as a guideline to match specific majors with appropriate offices or bureaus. As a companion to the Student Internship brochure, DOSCareers, the Department's careers-focused mobile app, explains and provides information on the Foreign Service application and selection processes.
